This position is part-time and is expected to continue through the 2024-2025 academic year, with a possibility for renewal in the 2025-2026 academic year.

About the Role:
The Nina and Ignite Scholarship Programs are grant-funded initiatives designed to support low-income students, independent youth, students with dependents, and/or students with documented disabilities, helping them succeed in completing their degree programs. This position is part-time and is expected to continue through the 2024-2025 academic year, with a possibility for renewal in the 2025-2026 academic year.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Demonstrated customer service and student advocacy skills.

- Strong organizational and motivational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine desire to assist academically challenged students and work with diverse populations.
- Prior experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring is preferred.
- Ability to foster an inclusive environment that reflects the diversity of students and employees.
Major Responsibilities:
- Onboarding and Training: Attend required staff onboarding and tutor training sessions.
- Tutoring Sessions: Conduct one-on-one tutoring for students enrolled in any math classes or those seeking assistance with math concepts.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties, such as greeting students at the front desk, monitoring student check-in/check-out of the scholar lounge, and addressing general student inquiries.
- Online Tutoring: Provide tutoring support via Zoom as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree or higher (or in progress with a 3.0 GPA or higher).
