What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Gallery Paraprofessional position at Ivy Tech Community College?
The Visual Communications Program at Ivy Tech Community College South Bend provides students, faculty, and the public with a gallery space showcasing student and professional work, events, information and communications.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with gallery events and community engagement
- Maintain and update signage in labs, hallways and classrooms as needed
- Monitor the labs during open lab hours
- Answer questions and assist students with software and project question
- Refresh ongoing display
- Maintain bulletin boards and other classroom learning displays up to date
- Organize and maintain all supplies, equipment, and office spaces
- Operate large format printer, laminator, black & white printer, and color copier
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Program Chair, Asst. Program Chair, Gallery Designer or Dean
SUPERVISION GIVEN: None
Compensation: $18.72/ hr.
Up to 20 hours per week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Some college or community experience in an art or design related field

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
High School / Equivalent Required. Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to the area of instruction and meet faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 for the specific area(s) of instruction.
