Job Summary :
We are seeking a Senior HR Generalist who is an all-rounder with a comprehensive understanding of human resources functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruitment, implementing HR procedures and policies, and managing HR systems and reports. The successful applicant will be sensitive to time zone differences, possess strong communication skills, and be capable of supporting our diverse workforce. Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable, and the role will require some travel.
Key Responsibilities :
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition :
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.
Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
Support onboarding procedures.
HR Procedures and Policies :
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and alignment with best practices.
Provide guidance to employees and management on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
HR Systems and Management Reports :
Utilize Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) to maintain employee records and generate management reports.
Analyze HR metrics and data to inform decision-making and recommend improvements.
Employee Relations :
Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, fostering a positive work environment.
Mediate and resolve employee conflicts and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
Sensitivity to Time Zone Differences :
Coordinate HR activities and communications across different time zones, ensuring timely responses and support for global teams.
Communication and Collaboration :
Serve as a liaison between HR and other departments, promoting collaboration and effective communication.
Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on HR policies and professional development.
- Travel Requirements :
Travel is needed to support recruitment efforts, employee relations, and HR initiatives across various locations. Up to 50% of working time.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (PHR, SPHR, etc.) is preferred.
Proven experience (typically 5 years) as an HR generalist or similar role, with a strong understanding of HR best practices.
Familiarity with Higher Education (HE) systems and management reporting.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
Strong analytical skills and experience with HR metrics and reporting.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Willingness to travel as required for the role.
