Ivymount School seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team of dedicated professionals. We strive to provide individualized, specialized, and current evidence-based speech and language services for neurodiverse students.
Job Overview
This is a full-time position that requires a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Maryland State licensure. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering school-based speech-language therapy services and clinical experience with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related disorders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct and consultative speech and language services to classroom and programs. They will work collaboratively with team members in programs/classrooms, as assigned, and maintain accurate documentation according to COMAR regulations and LEA requirements.
This is an 11-month position, starting in June. Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply and receive high-quality individualized support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing individual and/or small group speech therapy services as indicated by a student's Individual Education Plan (IEP)
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, parent meetings, and IEP meetings
- Assessing and developing speech and language IEP goals, completing annual IEP reports, recommendations, and quarterly progress reports
- Contributing to the development and implementation of programming and supports designed to address student communication needs identified by the educational team or as indicated by the program
- Developing treatment plans reflective of evidence-based practices
