What are the responsibilities and job description for the ServiceNow Manager position at IvyTech?
GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION :
The ServiceNow Manager is responsible for overseeing and participating in the overall development of the ServiceNow product. As a ServiceNow Manager, you will apply your leadership qualities, knowledge of ServiceNow, and the underlying development processes to oversee the development and configuration of the ServiceNow product. In addition, you will be responsible for assisting with the administration of the product to support Ivy Tech Community College users. This will include supporting processes like Request, Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Asset, Service Catalog, Knowledge, Service Portal, FSM, SOW, and other service modules as well as custom code, reviewing workflows for scalability and ensuring Ivy Tech development best practices are adhered to within customizations. The ideal candidate is a master of ServiceNow development and administration procedures, as well as having experience managing a team.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Oversee and participate in the overall development and configuration of the ServiceNow product
- Assess workflows for scalability and ensure adherence to Ivy Tech development best practices within customizations.
- Manage a team of 3-4 ServiceNow developers and administrators.
- Keep up to date with the latest ServiceNow features by scheduling new ServiceNow releases
- Document the overall platform design and analyze the impact of new requirements
- Mentor new developers and administrators to foster a positive work environment
- Give final approval on custom code prior to release to production
- Provide consultation to other developers on tasks as needed
- Identify and implement new modules of the ServiceNow platform to help streamline business processes
- Work with business users to identify, build, and refine business requirements and workflows
- Develop systems integrations and process automation- fully utilizing the platform's workflow capabilities
- Partner with team and configure Notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc. in ServiceNow
- Maintain lower ServiceNow environments by scheduling and verifying clones
- Support update set creation and migration
- Perform error identification / remediation across all instances, including working directly with end users to resolve issues
- Create technical documentation of custom applications
- Ensure the creation test scripts for QA processes

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
A bachelor's degree in an IT-related field is required with one to three years of work-related experience or an associate degree or industry-related certification along with 10 or more years of related work experience.
