About the Job
We are a wholesale nursery in Hillsboro OR seeking to hire seasonal workers with the potential to become permanent employees to help our Shipping Department.
Warehouse worker :
Part-time and full-time seasonal positions available.
Work schedule for full-time position : Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 4 : 30 PM.
Wage : depending on experience.
Position summary :
Able to follow instructions under supervision. Picking and fulfilling customers’ orders.
Responsibilities :
You’ll use a delivery rack for our customers.
Pull customer’s orders by picking plants in the sale’s ready greenhouse areas, and fill orders.
Fill out paperwork properly and accurately when pulling orders.
Alert Head Order Gatherer if there is a problem with the product quality or product availability.
Safeguard all section equipment / tools and returns to proper storage.
Organize plastic and sort plant trays for recycling.
Able to lift 20 to 60 lbs.
The job requires working outdoors in the elements, around machinery and soil. When working in the greenhouses the temperatures fluctuate depending on the style of the greenhouse.
Qualifications and Skills :
Some shipping experience is a plus but not required.
Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.
Excellent time management skills while working in a fast-aced environment.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
