Job Description
Your primary responsibilities would be to coordinate and maintain excellent Internal communications to reach the goal of on time and accurate shipments. In addition to ensuring accurate inventory and organization of finished goods to enable smooth day to day team operations.
Along with the following task expectations:
- Prepare all skids, labels, Bill of Ladings, and the loading and unloading of truck according to iwis shipping procedure and customer transportation requirements.
- Responsible for the accuracy of inventory of all finished goods and corrections if discrepancies are found.
- Maintain FIFO of Finished Goods into the warehouse and at the time of shipments.
- Ensure the organization and cleanliness of the Shipping department (5S).
- Communicate with all iwis Departments pertaining to shipments or discrepancies.
- Continuously analyze all processes, developments and jobs while ensuring financial budgets are met and unnecessary costs are prevented
- Analyze and resolve Shipping-issues.
- Book, control, and store finished goods accurately.
- Coordinate Shipping, warehouse activities to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Prepare all labels, domestic and/or international shipping documents and Bill of Ladings, according to iwis shipping procedures and customer transportation requirements.
- Maintain FIFO of Finished Goods into the warehouse and at the time of shipments.
- Ensure the organization and cleanliness of the Shipping department (5S).
- Communicate with all iwis Departments, Customers and Freight Agents pertaining to shipments and discrepancies.
- Ensure on-time, accurate and safely packaged deliveries in order to achieve customer satisfaction; notify appropriate team member before a short shipment occurs.
- Provide and implement continuous improvement and cost saving ideas.
- Responsible for following the standards and guidelines of the latest quality
- System, including maintaining departmental records, participating in internal
- External audits and following quality procedures on a daily basis. Along with the help of the Quality Plant Manager, drives the initiative to strive for continuous improvement
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have excellent computer and Microsoft skills.
- Should be a self-starter with a strong desire to excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to allow interaction with employees, customers, vendors, and management on a professional level.
