What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Call Center Technician position at IWP?
Working under the supervision of the Call Center and Onboarding team supervisor, the Call Center technician will act as the first point of contact for those who currently utilize our pharmacy services and also facilitate new patient enrollment. This role supports the needs of our patients and facilities through a combination of pharmacy technician and customer service duties, including data entry, prescription profile management and managing inbound and outbound customer contacts. This role may also be required to support pharmacy production as needed.
What You’ll Do
- Pharmacy data entry and medication profile management.
- Interact with patients, providers, and facilities via a combination of inbound and outbound calls, fax, and email to promptly respond to customer inquiries.
- Manage medication renewals and change requests via fax, phone, and electronic prescribing.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints using professional communication and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a current knowledge of related policies and procedures and be comfortable speaking to current changes within the industry, organization, and department.
- Comply with Quality Assurance program to consistently meet the required expectations during each customer interaction.
