Headquartered in San Diego iXCells Biotechnologies (“iXCells”) is a young and leading cell technology company focused on the generation of predictive human disease models and pursuing patient-specific services by leveraging our expertise in preparing, handling, engineering and differentiating induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) as well as providing primary cells, thereby applying state-of-the-art cell isolation and differentiation protocols and nobel-laureate winning reprogramming and genome editing technologies.
Our mission is to provide patient-specific disease models to enable academic, pharmaceutical and clinical researchers worldwide to accelerate individualized medicine, drug and therapy development approaches.
To this extent the company offers a variety of off-the-shelf and made-on-demand primary and patient-specific iPSC-derived differentiated cells as well as preclinical custom cell engineering and cell differentiation services along with associated services for descriptive and functional cell characterization, compound screening and toxicology testing.

This newly generated position is based at iXCells Biotechnologies’ headquarter in San Diego and will directly report to the CEO of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Profitably grow and extend the company’s iPSC portfolio of products and services
- Develop product line strategy and roadmap for a portfolio of well characterized disease-specific iPSC-derived cells that meet customer expectations for human cell-based model systems needed in translational research, drug discovery and/or cell therapy
- Leverage iXCells’ business development team to develop efficient licensing & partnership strategies to build the portfolio of products and services.
- Develop business plans for iXCells’ new product and service innovations, including annual financial objectives, forecast, pricing, margin optimizations
- Identify, analyze and articulate market trends and customer needs
- Compile intelligence and competitive landscaping analyses and benchmark iXCells solutions against those of competitors and market contenders
- Evaluate market and customer needs and liaise with iXCells’ science team to define new product and / or services innovation
- Liaise with iXCells’ sales & marketing department on market research activities and go-to-market strategies.
