Position Summary: Receives and pays out money and keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions. This position has a working knowledge of Ixonia Bank banking products; sells, counsels and advises customers requiring assistance with specialized types of bank products. Provides assistance to customers and has the work experience (or time in job) required to assist customers in selecting appropriate types of accounts or services. Cross-sells various services directly or by referral. Responsible for the achievement of assigned Sales objectives. Specific sales (or referral) targets will exist for the following areas: Ixonia Bank Financial Services referrals, credit card production, debit card production, core deposits, and retail checking. Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
- Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements, including foreign currency and wire transfer orders.
- Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
- Enters customers' transactions into computer to record transactions, and issues computer generated receipts.
- Orders daily supply of cash and counts incoming cash.
- Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen.
- Explains and promotes Ixonia Bank products and services and makes recommendations to customers based on listening and asking effective questions to determine customer need.
- Counts and balances cash in Automated Teller Machines and night depository.
- Accepts and processes loan payments.
- Assists customer who wish to redeem savings bonds and bank official checks, debit card requests, and online banking needs.
- Perform additional duties as needed: Online check ordering, order foreign currency, dual control function for vault balancing, oversee and balance on a daily basis the branch cash vault to include the ability to order the weekly cash shipment, branch supply ordering, assist with monthly CSR window audits, open and close the banking facility and other misc. duties.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: (Competencies)
- Must exhibit an understanding of and compliance with applicable federal and state banking laws and regulations, and/or have and obtain the ability to acquire.
- Must possess knowledge of Ixonia Bank banking products and services and exhibit a demonstrated experience and ability to open and close most or all types of Ixonia Bank deposit accounts.
- Possesses demonstrated knowledge and completion of Ixonia Bank new accounts training and procedures.
- Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Education, Experience or Equivalent: High School diploma and/or general education degree (GED). At least one (1) to (2) year(s) of CSR and/or teller banking experience preferred.
