Job Overview
Medical device production operation in Thousand Oaks area is seeking a department collaborator and team leader to undertake this hands-on Production Supervisor opportunity.
Pay range is $31.25 to $36.25 per hour

What we are looking for and expect
Experience and education (A combination of the following):
- Bachelor's degree (preferred); Associate’s degree required
- 5 years of industry medical device experience
- 3 years of floor production experience
- 3 years supervisory experience (preferably in a production environment)
- Experience with standard practices such as IPC, ISO9001, AS9100 or the like (Certifications are a plus).
- Surface Mount Technology experience a plus
General duties, responsibilities, and skills
- Supervise employees in production departments, including training, motivation, and administrative action.
- Process Management: Recommend procedures, systems, equipment, and machinery alterations to reduce costs, resolve problems, ensure product quality, reduce scrap, and improve production efficiency.
- Equipment Maintenance: Initiates work orders for maintenance and repair of machinery equipment and department vehicles.
- Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Efficiency improvement and Quality Control:
- Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Direct workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Inventory Management and planning activities.
- Records Management:
- Maintains production records: Production output, quality metrics, and efficiency measures
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Duties associated with supervising a staff: Time sheets; Employee Relations; Company Policies; Maintaining a clean and safe workplace; Performance Evaluations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physical work with frequent use of arms and legs.
- Frequent climbing of stairs and ladders.
- Be able to sit, walk, or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be comfortable lifting up-to 35lbs, bending, stooping, and standing.
