Floor Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. The Floor Technician position requires a candidate skilled in cleaning, floor care, and buffing. This role focuses on maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors using specialized equipment and techniques. The Floor Technician will report to [supervisor/manager's ] and play a vital role in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for both staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess a strong work ethic, and have the skills necessary to effectively carry out floor maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and buffing, to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment while following safety guidelines
• Collaborate with team members to efficiently complete janitorial tasks.
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and report any equipment issues.
• Assist with the daily cleaning of patient areas, office spaces, restrooms, and other areas of the facility.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in cleaning, floor care, and buffing.
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience.
• Familiarity with environmental services and commercial cleaning practices.
• Knowledge of specific floor care processes and adherence to safety protocols for various chemical agents (including understanding MSDS sheets).
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and supplies, potentially weighing 50 pounds or more
