Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.
- Take accurate food and drink orders while providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring all orders are correct and meet quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces as needed.
- Process payments accurately using the cash register, handling cash transactions with care.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service flow and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Adhere to all food handling and safety regulations to maintain a safe dining environment.
- Assist in training new staff members on restaurant policies, procedures, and best practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently in a busy environment.
