Position Summary
The Sanitation Manager is responsible for the planning, directing, and coordination of the facility sanitation program. Ensures a food safe environment and oversees the cleaning and sanitation of machinery, tools and facilities.
Essential Functions
- Oversees the sanitation of facility and all plant equipment for conformity to regulatory and plant standards.
- Sanitation daily walkthrough, following up with a full report to QA and Operations management team. Corrects unsanitary practices and conditions found.
- Develop / manage master cleaning schedules and related SSOP's.
- Creates and coordinates equipment cleaning and chemical training for all sanitation employees.
- Audit safety procedures and issues corrective action on any violations.
- Compiles required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies.
- Route safety reports, daily sanitation walk through reports to designated plant personnel daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Trains employees on the requirements of HACCP and other programs affecting food safety and quality.
- Interprets company policies to employees and enforces safety regulations.
- Enforces companies GMP's policies, documents corrective action on any GMP violations, and conducts monthly safety meetings.
- Complete staff scheduling to ensure adequate staffing.
- Develop high performing work teams within department through recruitment, selection, and retention. Responsible for hands on coaching, training, and engaging team members through ongoing communication.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Compensation is based on level of experience, including education, years of experience compared to requirement and food manufacturing industry experience. The range provided is a guideline and does not mean that all candidates or current employees will qualify for the high end of the range.
Compensation Rage : $75,000 to $88,000 - Base compensation negotiable compared to relevant experience.
