Responsibilities:
- Assist in compiling data and documentation necessary for accurate tax returns and audit compliance.
- Use tax software and basic research skills to complete tax returns and support audit engagements.
- Carry out day-to-day audit activities and support the delivery of high-quality audit services.
- Conduct client interviews to collect financial and operational information, and test financial records as per audit plans.
- Manage tasks efficiently within set timelines, taking ownership of assignments from start to completion.
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and communicate engagement progress effectively.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in tax and audit practices.
Required Qualifications:
- BA degree in accounting or finance.
- Anticipation of or current pursuit of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to discern when to address problems independently or seek help.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam.
- 0-2 years of public accounting experience.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Previous internship experience in a relevant field is a plus but not required.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
