Commercial Roofing Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking career minded, dedicated, and skilled Laborers to join our team. With Building and Pole Shed Construction, Commercial Roofing, and Concrete divisions, J&A Northwest Construction offers a variety of opportunities for the career minded individual. This is a full-time, year-round position. Although individual skills and expertise may align an employee with a specific area of focus, we provide cross-training and utilize employees across all areas as needed.

The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. This role requires a safety conscious quality minded individual who possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors and lead workers.

General Duties

• Assists in the setup and cleanup of construction sites, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
• Performs tasks related to commercial roofing, building construction, and concrete, such as, but not limited to: pouring and finishing concrete, framing construction residential/pole sheds, applying and repairing commercial roofs.
• Installs windows and doors, roofs, siding, gutters, and other common construction materials.
• Uses various power and hand tools as well as other powered equipment required to perform duties.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and project books to ensure understanding of project requirements.
• Works on ladders and at elevated heights to perform various tasks.
• Works outdoors in varying weather, exposing individuals to cold or heat.
• Maintains tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues to supervisors.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Other Qualifications

• Previous experience in a laborer role or related field is preferred but is not mandatory.
• Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects.
• Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with team members on the construction site.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from experienced workers.
