What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Porter position at J and H Janitorial?
Hiring for a July 1st start date for a minimum of a three-year contract. Job hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Job duties include ensuring the cafeteria is cleaned and maintained before and during all meal periods. Policing and restocking all public restrooms once during the morning and once during the afternoon. Cleaning when and where a student may get sick. Policing around the entrances of the assigned building/s. Cleaning and maintaining building entrances. Other cleaning duties as assigned by the Project Manager. The wage range is $14.00 to $15.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Must possess reliable transportation. Must be a team player willing to complete other duties as assigned. Must be able to pass a fingerprint criminal background check. A minimum of one year experience as a Day Porter in a K-12 school is preferred. Some classroom setup and takedown, as well as light moving, may be required.
