J&L Construction, LLC is a small family business located in Denton, TX, that specializes in heavy civil utilities construction. We are looking to extend our team with a position for a full-time Financial Administrator. At J&L Construction, we take great pride in our work and people. Skills:
· Proficiency in QuickBooks
· Proficiency in Excel
· Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and procedures
· Excellent 10-key typing skills for accurate data entry
· Familiarity with general ledger accounting principles
· Basic understanding of budgeting concepts
· Knowledge of debits and credits in accounting
· Familiarity with tax regulations and reporting requirements
· Understanding of financial concepts and terminology
· Payroll processing
Responsibilities:
· Financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, setting financial objectives, and preparing financial statements
· Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets
· Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the finance director
· Help oversee and manage individual accounts
· Create, send, and follow up on invoices
· Review and audit financial statements and reports, ensure all calculations and data entries are correct
· Process and prepare financial and business forms to check account balances, facilitate purchases, etc.

· Attend finance department and company-wide meetings, assisting with financial reporting to managers and senior executives
· Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions.
This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a strong multitasking ability. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is expected.
