Job Summary
Under general supervision, this position leads the analysis and design of the internal technology system for the organization and recommends system and technology solutions for system improvement. Responsible for analysis of how well software, hardware and the wider IT system fits the business needs. The incumbent writes requirements for new systems, develops and/or implements the system and monitors the effectiveness of the system. The incumbent also acts as a mentor to other System Analyst(s) with projects using their knowledge and experience of J.B. Hunt.

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the evaluation, analysis, design and maintenance of the organization's internal system and enforce related policies and procedures
- Make recommendations to leadership as to the future direction of systems and requirements
- Collaborate with users to gather requirements/specifications and liase with internal IT departments to create new or modify existing systems
- Develop system work flows to increase departmental productivity for users Conduct end user system and/or report training and troubleshooting
- Build and maintain digital reports for management and end users
- Make alterations to existing tables and programs to maintain functionality
- Act as escalation point for team regarding client complaints and issues
- Mentor, train and on board new and existing employees
- Research internal systems problems and recommend relevant systems and technology solutions
- Identify new user, departmental and/or organizational needs and the software products to fulfill those needs
- Evaluate business needs; monitor the progress of ongoing internal system programs to ensure the effectiveness
Minimum Qualification:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 7 or more years of related experience in diverse application support and technology systems &/or military equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology with up 4-5 years of related experience in technology systems
- AND/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences:
- Experience in application support or technology systems
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to understand functional concepts quickly
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Logical, process oriented
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Experience with SQL, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, Power BI, PowerShell.
- EDI knowledge is a must for this position
