Under general direction, the Manager I, Engineering and Technology leads a small and/or less complex team of technical professional who drive the successful delivery of projects, and ensuring alignment with departmental goals. This role involves direct management of team members, overseeing day-to-day technical tasks, and ensuring that team deliverables meet high-quality standards and timelines. The Manager I role is primarily focused on team management, process improvement, and collaboration with other departments to execute on business and technical objectives.Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads, manages, and develops a team of Engineering and Technology personnel
- Builds relationships and collaborates with intra-department stakeholders to support team effectiveness
- Ensures team adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards by coaching employees in required practices or applying corrective actions
- Supports the professional development of team members through mentoring, career pathing, and training.
- Conducts regular check-ins with team members to provide feedback, discuss goal progress and address any performance-related issues with guidance from leadership
- Provides guidance and support to team members by removing barriers and helping them solve problems
- Monitors progress of assigned projects and tasks, ensuring that timelines and milestones are met. Proactively addresses roadblocks or delays
- Collaborates with key stakeholders by evaluating results in order to ensure that expected outcomes are occurring and business objectives are being met
- Track team performance and goal progress by KPIs established by leadership.
- Proactively escalates critical issues or blockers to direct leadership when necessary, clearly articulating the issues and risks
- Gain understanding in the budgeting process in the technology department, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and within financial constraints.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration/Management, Information Technology, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience and training and/or 3 years of experience in an Engineering and Technology role
AND/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences:
- Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
- Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers
- Knowledge of and experience with methodologies, tools, and techniques for managing software products at all stages of the product lifecycle
- Knowledge of techniques to successfully effect change in an organization and ability to manage the successful and smooth transition from current to desired culture, practices, structure, and overall organizational environment Knowledge of personnel management processes; ability to lead, motivate, evaluate and reward personnel at the work place.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience and training WITH 4 years of experience Engineering and Technology

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
