Under general supervision, this position assists corporate legal counsel in routine legal matters, research and drafting legal documents, completing information requests, and other administrative tasks.Job Description:
- Review, revise, and negotiate legal documents, such as non-disclosure agreements, codes of conduct, waivers, and contracts
- Receive and respond to routine correspondence following established procedures not requiring management review
- Assist in contract administration from initial draft to execution
- Maintain corporate legal documentation in systems and databases
- Collect law sources for Attorneys such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles and legal codes for preparation of executive summaries and legal documents
- Investigate and analyze claims and legal issues
- Review and summarize routine contractual terms in executed agreements
- Audit existing contracts to ensure terms are current and accurate; draft amendments when necessary
- Assist with meeting preparation through gathering relevant documents and supporting resources
- Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or Paralegal Certification; At least 1 year of related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education, experience, or military equivalent
- AND/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences
- Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
- Ability to interpret information to form decisions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Paralegal Degree or Juris Doctorate
- Experience with routine contracts and other legal documents
- Experience working in a corporate legal environment/department
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of transportation and logistics
- Knowledge of legal terminology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas through various mediums Knowledge of approaches and techniques for recognizing and resolving problems

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
