SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, issue tools and equipment to workers and maintain records of all items issued and returned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following however, other duties may apply.)
- Issue requested tools and equipment to workers.
- Maintain an accurate record of tools issued and returned using the inventory systems maintained in the Tool Crib.
- Perform tool assembly and tear down.
- Maintain proper tool inventory level.
- Manage budget.
- Evaluate tool wear after tools are returned from production and determine appropriate actions to take if tools need repair.
- Spot-check tooling for missing components and report all damage to the Manager.
- Maintain bin labels.
- Deliver tool kits to machines (when applicable).
- Provide emergency tooling when a tool is down.
- Provide assistance with technical questions about tooling.
- Ensure the department stays organized.
- Stay current with tool crib processes and procedures following the Tool Crib Operation Procedure and supporting documents.
- Create toolkits and job packs.
- Maintain tool crib inventory through computerized tool crib database.
- Assist the maintenance department by creating required inventory locations.
- Actively participate in the 5S program, which is to Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain in order to maintain a highly productive work environment.
- Maintain inventory of all blank shop forms located in the handing bin outside of the Manufacturing Supervisor's office.
- Perform weekly typewriter maintenance for the manufacturing shop's typewriters per form Type Writer Maintenance Checklist.
Employee / applicants who receive offers of employment will be tested for controlled substances as a pre-condition for employment. The sample collection and testing will be for controlled substances. A positive test result for controlled substances will render an applicant disqualified for employment.
Negative and positive results will be reported to CSJB Holdings, Inc. If the results are positive, the controlled substance will be identified. The results will not be released to any other parties without an applicant's written authorization.
CSJB Holdings, Inc. will investigate applicants background and qualifications for purposes of evaluating whether an applicant is qualified for the position for which they are applying.
CSJB Holdings, Inc. will utilize an outside firm or firms to assist it in checking such information, and applicants specifically authorize such an investigation by information services and outside entities of the company's choice. Applicants may withhold their permission and that in such a case, no investigation will be done, and their application for employment will not be processed further.
