What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscaper (General Maintenance) position at J.B. Martin Company Inc.?
As a Landscaper (General Maintenance), you will be responsible for planning, creating and maintaining our company’s outdoor spaces. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes the initiative and is very organized. The hours will be 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. EST, Monday-Friday, but one must be willing to work some Saturdays and overtime if needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must know how to use and maintain landscaping equipment, such as chainsaws, shovels, lawn mowers, etc.
- Mow, trim, raking and edge lawns
- Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, sod and grass
- Apply fertilizer to lawns, trees, flowers, and shrubs
- Pull weeds and keep walkways clear
- Trim trees, hedges, and shrubs
- Perform general outdoor maintenance, including building maintenance
- Perform seasonal clean-up, such as spring and fall
- Assist in the construction, repair and maintenance of outdoor structures
