Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our JB Foods dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various machinery, and will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and packaging products to meet quality standards. Responsibilities
- Able to lift forming and non-forming films onto line up to a (up to a hundred pounds each we do have one lifter for film but may not always work)
- Able to setup production line with product in line in 45 minutes
- Come to work 60 minutes before start time and stay up to 60 minutes after end time
- Able to read and write in English (Preferably)
- Able to use an iPad and complete daily checks for product on line using redzone
- Employee is able to lead/teach employees on operators line with supervisor directive
- Able to take employees spot and run same efficiency while on production line
- Operate packaging machines.
- Set up and adjust machinery as needed for production runs.
- Utilize logic controllers to monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Assemble parts and components accurately while adhering to safety protocols.
- Package finished products for shipment while maintaining organization in the workspace.
- Maintain equipment by performing regular inspections and basic maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity packaging machinery is highly desirable.
Education:
- High Scholl diploma or equivalent.
- Technical training or certifications in machinery operation, manufacturing processes, or related field is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in reading and writing English.
- Skilled in using measuring tools, including calipers, scales, and tape measures in milimeters, for quality control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
- Proficient with technology, including the ability to use an iPad and production management tools like Redzone.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to adhering to following safety guidelines and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
