J BLACK FINANCIAL GROUP, a successful and rapidly growing boutique wealth management firm, is looking to add an experienced Lead Advisor to manage and provide financial planning advice to existing clients, as well as to develop new business. We expect to double our revenue every four to five years and need talented, hardworking individuals who are expected to contribute not only to their specific role, but also to the direction and growth of the overall enterprise.
The firm provides comprehensive, fee-based financial planning, fee-based investment advisory solutions, education funding strategies, holistic wealth management, retirement planning and risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Focus on successful client outcomes while providing advice, financial planning, and wealth management solutions for the firm’s clients.
- Be directly responsible for client satisfaction and retention of client accounts.
- Manage and supervise the formulation and implementation of risk and investment strategies consistent with the comprehensive financial plan prepared for each client.
- Develop new business opportunities from existing clients as well as new clients.
- Connect with and develop relationships with the next generation of existing clients.
- Build Loyal Client Advocates and generate new clients through those relationships.
- Be an ambassador of the firm and publicly represent the firm’s strategic brand.
- Participate in and contribute to firm leadership.
- Maintain familiarity with industry and economic trends and apply this knowledge to client service and relationships.
- Maintain knowledge of and show the ability to apply compliance standards.
- Work collaboratively and interdependently with Team Members.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of financial planning and/or advising experience.
- History of clean compliance record.
- Ability to follow through and execute on company objectives.
- Always do what’s in the client's best interest.
- Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership skills and ownership mentality.
- Professionalism, high standards and diligence.
- Champions positivity in a fun, collaborative, energic team environment.

- Securities licenses.
- CFP® designation.
Preferred:
- Existing client base that can be merged with current business.
- Industry licenses: 6, 63, 65, 7, Life & Health insurance.
- Familiarity with Envestnet, Morningstar Advisor Workstation, NetX 360, 15Five, Microsoft Systems (Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote, Excel).
