Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Host/Host. As a Host/Host, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a positive dining experience for our customers. This is a vital role in our restaurant, as you will be the first point of contact for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests as they arrive and seat them at their designated tables
- Provide menus to guests and assist with any questions regarding menu items
- Maintain knowledge of daily specials and promotions
- Manage reservations and waitlist efficiently
- Answer phone calls and take reservations over the phone with excellent phone etiquette
- Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
- Assist with cleaning and organizing the host/host station and dining area
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or requests in a professional manner
- Provide assistance to guests with special needs or requests
Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role in the restaurant or food service industry is preferred
- Excellent guest service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Proficiency in using POS systems for order entry and payment processing
- Strong organizational skills to manage reservations and waitlist effectively
- Knowledge of Aloha POS system is a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
