Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Dealer Trade Driver to facilitate the exchange of vehicles between our dealership and other automotive dealerships. The Dealer Trade Driver will ensure the safe and efficient transportation of vehicles, while maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Transportation: Safely transport vehicles to and from other dealerships for trade-ins, purchases, or exchanges.
- Inspections: Perform thorough inspections of vehicles before and after transportation, documenting any damage or issues and reporting them accordingly.
- Documentation: Complete all required paperwork accurately, including vehicle condition reports, mileage logs, and trade documents.
- Scheduling: Coordinate transportation schedules with dealership personnel to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with dealership staff and customers during the trade process.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure assigned vehicles are well-maintained, promptly reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
- Safety: Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies while operating company vehicles.
- Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with dealership management and dispatch to provide updates on transportation progress.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
- Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Demands:

Compensation:
- Pay: $0.30 per mile or a $50 minimum trip payment.

- $10 per cancelled trade (if driver arrives at the dealership prior to cancellation).
- $20 for vehicle inspection (for external transfers).
- $10 per hour wait time after the first hour.

- $130 maximum per night for required overnight stays (for round trips over 10 hours).
- $25 per meal for overnight stays.
- Reimbursement for tolls and out-of-pocket fuel costs.
