Job Overview:
As a Steel Fabricator, you will play a crucial role in the construction and manufacturing industry. Your primary responsibility will be to transform raw materials into fabricated components, ensuring precision and quality in adherence to project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reading Blueprints: Interpret and comprehend engineering drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements.
- Material Preparation: Cut, shape, and prepare steel and other materials according to design specifications, utilizing various tools and equipment.
- Assembly: Assemble fabricated components, including structural and ornamental elements, by following established procedures and guidelines.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality checks to ensure the accuracy and conformity of fabricated components to project specifications and industry standards.
- Measurement and Layout: Accurately measure and layout components, ensuring precise dimensions and alignment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain fabrication tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure working environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including engineers and project managers, to achieve project goals and timelines.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Steel Fabricator or similar role in metal fabrication.
- Skills: Proficient in reading blueprints, skilled in welding and cutting techniques, and familiarity with various fabrication tools and equipment.
- Knowledge: Understanding of industry standards and safety protocols in metal fabrication.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform tasks that involve heavy lifting, bending, and prolonged periods of standing.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in fabrication.
- Team Player: Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational training or certification in metal fabrication is a plus.
