Shipping and Warehouse Worker

Wage Range Maximum: $22.48/hr. (plus up to 7% seniority pay which is awarded at 5/10/15 yr benchmarks)

Purpose of Job:

• This position is responsible for pulling parts from inventory and preparing them for shipment to customers.

Responsibilities and Job Requirements:

• Must learn the parts and be able to pull parts from inventory and/or place into inventory.
• Must wrap and pack customer orders for shipment in a safe and proper manner.
• Experience operating a forklift unit and obtain a forklift license.
• Must be able to use selected hand tools and power tools (basic carpentry skills).
• Must be able to read a ruler and measure.
• Must be able to read and understand part drawings and descriptions.
• Must be able to use a computer efficiently for inventory entry, receiving, etc.
• Must be able to learn Visual Manufacturing (ERP) computer system.
• Must be able to change priorities quickly based on customers’ demand.
• Must work closely with others in a small group setting.
• Must be able to work in a sometimes fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• High school diploma or equivalency
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.
• Have a good sense of balance.
• Have good eye, hand, and foot coordination.
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights.
