JC White, a premier Best in Class Haworth dealer, seeks Senior Designers to join our team. We have openings in both our Miramar and West Palm Beach showrooms.
At JC White, our team utilizes their extensive furniture product knowledge to design, order and install projects for corporate, education and healthcare environments. We enjoy collaborating with our clients and A&D firms to develop innovative and creative solutions for their spaces and employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing design services to clients including space planning, typical development, 3D renderings, and presentations. You will collaborate with dealership sales, project management, customer service and installation teams to create successful and effective design solutions.
Responsibilities :
Collaborate with dealership sales and clients to determine project scope and product selections that meet each clients unique needs
Develop space plans, typicals, 3D renderings
Create client presentation documents
Attend client meetings and present design ideas and solutions
Conduct product research with vendors and request product quotations
Complete detailed product specifications and check accuracy against floor plans
Apply discounting and additional costs to create budgets and quotes
Fabric and finish research and selection
Perform field measurements and product inventory
Validate furniture plans against architectural, construction and electrical drawings
Provide floor core locations and dimensions related to furniture placement
Create detailed installation drawing package
Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environment
Participate in ongoing learning for products, software, technology
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Interior Design from accredited 4-year university
4 years experience
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, CET Designer, ProjectMatrix, Microsoft Office
Understanding of extensive furniture line offerings, including workstations, walls, seating, and freestanding products
Knowledge of Haworth product a plus
Ability to plan, organize and complete work effectively and efficiently
Outstanding graphic presentation skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities
Strong work ethic, initiative, and follow-through
Knowledge of building and electrical codes, ADA
Understands workplace environments issues and trends
