Position Summary
As an Outside Sales Representative with J. Callahan Concrete you will be primarily responsible for running sales appointments from company-generated leads, drafting written estimates and scaled project drawings, negotiating terms and finalizing contracts and build orders with customers. Outside Sales Representatives earn on an aggressive Base Commission compensation plan with an on target earnings (OTE) of $90k-$160k annually. Outside Sales Representatives should expect day-to-day activity to include a morning team briefing, running appointments, following up with deals in progress and self-generating new leads. As an Outside Sales representative you will be expected to continually invest in your own success by building strong referral relationships with clients and establishing a presence within the community to develop a stream of self-generated leads in addition to running company generated leads. Your success in this role will be determined by your ability to efficiently run and close estimate appointments, generate new leads from nearby jobs in progress and by your ability to cultivate an exceptional customer at every interaction.
Compensation
- Base Commission pay structure with annual OTE of $90k-$160k (W2 Role)

Primary Responsibilities
- Function as the primary point of contact for clients from initial estimate through contract signing
- Conduct post-production follow up visits for quality control and referral marketing
- Run professional estimate appointments to include: developing customer rapport, gathering critical information for concrete projects (measurements, obstacles, grade, etc.), drafting written estimates and official project design renderings
- Provide detailed documentation pertaining to the customer, current and future projects and any ongoing negotiations
- Close and sign deals, ensuring all details and project information are present and accurate for a seamless handoff from sales to production
- Conduct active outreach within the community to generate new business leads by placing marketing signs, door hangers, contacting homeowners and business owners with visible concrete replacement needs and other lead generation activities.
- Evaluate estimating results and develop action plans for ongoing improvement
- Participate in local promotional and networking events in conjunction with marketing, customer service and executive leadership to increase brand awareness, promote positive reputation in the community and generate quality leads
- Develop an expert knowledge of our services and offerings, promotional programs, internal softwares, etc. to effectively seize opportunities and provide customers with accurate information
- Conduct active outreach and prospecting when not actively involved in pre-set appointments or deals-in-progress follow up to generate additional leads and maintain a full calendar
- Effectively manage your calendar and daily schedule to promote visibility across departments and ensure time efficiency
- Complete weekly KPI reporting to ensure accuracy of commissions payouts

Job Requirements
- Must have a valid U.S. Drivers License
- Must be a citizen of the United States or authorized to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, direct sales or in-home sales is preferred but not required
- Bachelors degree or higher is preferred but not required
- General concrete, construction and/or soil grading knowledge is preferred but not required
- Must be available M-F from 8:00am-5:00pm
