What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fiber Optic Splicer position at J Carlson Services Inc?
JCS Inc. a fiber optics integration company, specializing in fiber to the home is looking for mainline fiber optic splicers working on projects in Kansas and Missouri. Our office is based in Salina, Kansas. Team members do not need to travel to the office to report to work. Team members travel from home to project or hotel to project based on the job assignment and distance from your home.
Tasks performed include but are not limited to: opening fiber optic cable, operating hand tools and fiber optic splicing machines, reading maps and directions, maintain company issued vehicle, fiber testing.
We are willing to train.
Applicants must:
- Be willing to travel
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record REQUIRED (within the last 5 years)
- Be computer proficient
- Available to work overtime and weekends (as needed)

Wages up to $45 an hour depending on qualifications and production.
