Position Overview
We’re looking for an Product Design Drafter to join our client's growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a foundation in 3D modeling and technical drawing who’s excited to learn and grow within a creative, product-focused environment. You’ll work closely with design engineers to help maintain and develop product documentation, 3D models, and master files for new product launches.
What You’ll Do
- Create 2D technical drawings to support product assembly, detailing, and installation
- Build and update 3D models using Rhino for internal review, prototyping, and documentation
- Assist in assembling master product files that include:
- Product limitations and dimensional constraints
- Rhino models and sample files
- Detail drawings, assembly diagrams, and installation instructions
- Support light 3D printing tasks, including preparing files and working with prototypes
- Stay organized and maintain drawing/documentation libraries
- Pitch in on other design-related tasks as needed — we’re a collaborative team!
What We’re Looking For
- Proficiency with Rhino 3D (coursework, personal projects, or internship experience welcome)
- Familiarity with technical drawing and a basic understanding of assembly or architectural documentation
- Interest or hands-on experience in 3D printing
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, especially when managing drawing sets and product documentation
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Comfortable being a note taker during meetings and helping document key decisions or action items
- Bonus: Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or Adobe Creative Suite is helpful, but not required
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related design/technical field
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
