Job Description

Currently seeking experienced Cabinet Makers with 3 years of verifiable experience for Custom-Built Cabinetry projects in the San Antonio area. Successful candidates will possess all of the skills listed below and have a proven track record of collaboration with customers, project and skilled trade leaders, and peers to safely meet production timelines and design goals with impeccable trade technique. A Cabinet Maker in this role has obtained advanced skills and can complete projects from start to finish with minimal input or guidance. This position reports directly to the Cabinet Shop Manager.

• Dimensioning solids
• Building face frames
• Dato & rabbeting
• Edge Banding
• Building 5-piece doors
• Laminating Solids
• Sanding & finish preparation
  
  

Minimum Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in cabinet making
• Basic mathematic skills
• Can comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Ability to read and understand cabinet layout drawings
• Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices
• Can effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization

• Cabinetry Apprentice Mentorship
• Work alongside a Cabinetry Apprentice to teach them the skills of each task in a project so they may develop the knowledge to complete the task on their own in the future.
• May be asked to delegate tasks and manage Cabinetry Apprentice work
• Create teachable moments for Cabinetry Apprentice
• Assist Cabinetry Apprentices with their tasks
  

Communication:

• Use of phone-based application to communicate with team members and J. Crawford Administration. A functional smart phone is required for all roles at J. Crawford
• Receive and confirm daily/weekly job assignments
• Complete daily logs of work completed at job sites including photos and videos
• Clocking in-and out of shift daily
• Direct communication with Cabinet Shop Lead/Manager for sick days, late arrivals, and job-site concerns
  

Job Task Completion:

• Prioritize daily project tasks and maintain momentum to complete work on time
• Look to Cabinet Shop Manager/Lead for task delegation, direction, and approvals
• Work with/alongside sub-contractors on occasion for specific aspects of projects
  
  

Tools and Equipment:

• Come prepared to work daily with all personal tools and equipment necessary for job completion
• Committed to the care, use, organization, and cleanliness of all J. Crawford tools
  
  

Ability to commute/relocate:

• San Antonio, TX 78211: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
  
  

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
  
  

Work hours are a set schedule of 7:00am to 3:30pm daily with a 30-minute lunch. This position will report to the same location each day. Candidates must be able to work in the United States and use direct deposit for payroll. Payroll is completed on a bi-weekly basis.
