What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Highway Iron Worker position at J.D. Eckman, Inc.?
J.D. Eckman Inc. a large bridge and road construction contractor located in Atglen, Pa. is seeking experienced Iron workers in all aspects of bridge and highway construction. Iron workers must fit, connect, and weld steel for both rehabilitation work and new road construction as well as read and work from plans. We are looking for those who have welding certificate AWS – 1.5 and be familiar with the operation of magnetic drills and air arcing. Iron worker assignments are available throughout eastern PA. often far from home, applicants must have the ability to stay away from home until job is completed. 5 years of relevant iron worker experience preferably in heavy highway work. CDL License is a plus! Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen, as well as have a valid Driver’s License.
