Description : Summary :
The Assistant Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of the grain shuttle unloading and commodity handling facility by ensuring grain and feed movement and quality standards while meeting company goals and objectives. Provide day to day leadership support to the location, including all operations, safety, customer service, maintenance, cleanliness, and quality assurance within the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assistant Manager responsibilities involve supervision, reporting, grain and commodity handling and management, safety, and maintenance
- Assure proper commodity storage and condition, blend grain for proper storage and distribution to customers, and practice good housekeeping principles.
- Oversee and manage the maintenance of all commodity handling equipment.
- Interview, hire, and train employees.
- Manage employees to be effective on the job and to grow professionally. Track employee accountability.
- Lead the entire team and support their growth and development.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, opportunistic curiosity and contributes to creating an environment where people want to work.
- Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.
