J&E Property Management is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Renewal/Inspection Coordinator to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will ensure that lease renewals and property inspections are managed smoothly, accurately, and with the professionalism that sets J&E apart in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Lease Renewal Coordination:
Manage the lease renewal process from start to finish. Communicate with tenants about upcoming lease expirations, provide renewal options, track responses, and update lease terms as needed.
Property Inspections:
Schedule and conduct regular property inspections (move-in, move-out, annual, and special request inspections). Document findings with detailed reports and photos, and communicate necessary maintenance or compliance issues to the appropriate teams.
Tenant Communication:
Serve as a primary point of contact for current tenants regarding lease renewals, inspection scheduling, and general lease-related inquiries. Maintain a professional, friendly, and responsive communication style.
Administrative Organization:
Maintain accurate records of lease expirations, renewal statuses, and inspection reports. Update databases and property management software (Appfolio experience is a plus) to ensure all information is current and properly filed.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure all lease renewals and inspections comply with company policies, local regulations, and fair housing standards. Identify and report any property issues or lease violations in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in property management, leasing, or administrative coordination is preferred but not required.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on professionalism and clarity.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and moving parts with accuracy.
- Reliable Transportation: Must have a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle in good working condition for traveling to and from properties.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with property management software (Appfolio or similar), Google Workspace, and mobile inspection tools.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and resolving issues.
- Rule-Focused: Comfortable enforcing policies and procedures consistently, even when conversations may be difficult or uncomfortable. Must be confident in holding firm to lease terms and company standards.
