J. Edward is seeking Local Medical Assistants for a Large Healthcare provider located around the Greater Connecticut area.
Hourly Rate: $20- $24hr.
Hours: 40 hours a week
Contract: 8-13 Weeks (Temp)
Must reside in these local areas of Connecticut:
- Plainfield, CT
- Bloomfield, CT
- Torrington, CT
- Bristol, CT
- Norwich, CT
- Willimantic, CT
- Middletown, CT
Duties:
- Perform administrative and clinical tasks to support healthcare professionals .
- Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure accurate documentation.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures.
- Provide direct patient care, including dressing wounds, collecting specimens, and performing basic laboratory tests.
- Maintain patient records and update medical charts accurately.
- Schedule appointments, handle phone calls, and provide excellent customer service to patients.
- Assist with medical procedures such as X-rays and EKGs.
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Skills:
-Certified Medical Assistant
- CCMA or Registered Medical Assistant (Required)
- CPR- BLS (AHA only)
- Proficient in medication administration and dosage calculations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Ability to accurately measure vital signs and interpret results.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members.
- Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Experience with medical equipment operation.
- Charting Experience
