Trilogy at Vistancia is comprised of three feature club experiences, the golf club, the original community centerpiece, Kiva Club, and the recently introduced Mita Club. The golf course, the feature restaurant, V's Taproom, the full-service Alvea Spa, and the events & weddings venue are all available to the public.
Where : Peoria, 40 minutes west of Scottsdale & Northwest of downtown Phoenix, Arizona
Pay : $22.00 per hour
Benefits :
New hourly full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week, will be eligible for the Company medical, dental and life insurance plans the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment.
Full-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off ("PTO") in accordance with the Company policy at a rate of 120 hours per year.
Full-Time team members are eligible for 7 paid holidays annually.
Part-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Sick Leave in accordance with state guidelines.
All team members 21 years and older are eligible to participate in the J.F. Shea Co., Inc. 401(k) plan after completion of 30 days of service.
POSITION OVERVIEW :
As a member of the Landscape Maintenance Team, the Spray Technician position is responsible for the upkeep and manicuring of all landscaped areas and hardscapes within the community. This is a mid-level position that accepts direction from the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf (BSRG) to support the achievement of company goals.
- Identify plants throughout the community and be able to determine plant stress or plant health.
- Observe, or personally apply, chemical treatments to ensure proper coverage and application.
- Monitor chemical mixing to ensure correct materials and mixing rates are used, the application is appropriate for the area, and safety equipment meets labelling and law requirements.
- Maintain and properly store inventory of plant protectants; report low inventory to the Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent.
- Maintain current logs containing all plant protectant and fertilizer applications, to meet state regulations and to provide a history of use.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent to develop and communicate a shared vision among the Maintenance Team, determine work schedule needs, and review operational challenges and recommend solutions.
- Follow directions and perform tasks given under the supervision of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.
- Create a productive and enjoyable work environment, and inspire, motivate, and lead by example.
- Provide coaching, if applicable, to the Assistant Technician and other team members to develop their skills and potential to become a Spray Technician.
- Provide feedback to supervisors regarding individual crew member performance.
- Work in a safe manner and use all personal protective equipment (safety gear) assigned.
- Be aware of safety requirements, monitor equipment to ensure it is in working order, and promptly report unsafe conditions, repair needs, or accidents to supervisor.
- Supervise vehicle refueling and loading of materials needed for the next day.
- Accurately complete all daily and weekly work logs and repair report reports.
- Conduct end-of-day review and prepare next days' tasks with supervisor.
- May occasionally be requested to work overtime or during the weekend to assist during special events when extra labor is required (i.e. weddings, tours, openings, etc.).
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
