Must be available to weekends or overtime as needed and dictated by production.
We are hiring for all 3 shifts: 1st, 2nd and 3 shifts
- 1st Shift - 6:00am to 2:30pm
- 2nd Shift - 2:00pm to 10:30pm ($0.50 Shift Premium)
- 3rd Shift - 10:00pm to 6:30am ($.75 Shift Premium)
Job Summary:
Environmental Operators are responsible for all environmental needs in the shop. This position is a champion for reusing, reducing, and recycling all material possible in a safe and clean manner. Most job responsibilities are performed using a forklift. The job of Environmental Tech is is 100% on the plant floor.
Job Description:
Tasks:
- Dump chip hoppers using forklift
- Empty trash cans throughout the shop and rest rooms
- Cleans restrooms once per shift
- Mix coolants and add coolant to machines when necessary
- Breakdown and bale cardboard boxes
- Check the concentration levels on machines
- Recycle used coolant in a safe and clean manner
- Cut filter media for machines
- Run the floor scrubber
- Clean coolant tanks

Competencies:
- Ability to complete tasks independently
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiply projects simultaneously and delegate assignments to others.
- Ability to comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
- Ability to participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Requirements:
- 1 years related experience preferred
- 3 years experience as a Forklift Operator required
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Understanding and knowledge of ISO standards preferred
