J. Gibson McIlvain Company is currently seeking a CDL Class A Driver. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 days/week out of town. Deliveries will be mainly up and down east coast in from the Florida through Maine, or Midwest.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Ensures safe and on-time delivery of products to customers using company vehicles and following all company procedures and standards.
- Unloads product from the vehicle and verifies contents against shipping invoices or inventories. The receiver will either unload themselves, you may hand unload to the receiver, or unload with Moffett.
- Overnight stays will be expected
- Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures. Safety is #1 priority.
- Maintains cleanliness of vehicles and ensures proper working conditions.
- Always obey posted speed limits and all other traffic rules and regulations.
- Completes any reports, logs, pre and post trip inspections.
- Handles customer complaints or escalates to upper management when necessary.
- Call customers ahead of delivery when needed.
- Keep track of all fuel receipts for IFTA Tax reporting.
- Use an ELD to keep track of driving, on and off duty hours, per DOT requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years overall driving experience with a safe driving record
- Valid CDL A Commercial Motor Vehicle driver’s license
- Ability to drive a 13 speed, split manual truck
- Desire to work in a process-oriented environment
- Knowledge and compliance with DOT regulations
- Strong customer service skills
- Must be willing to be on road 2-5 days/week
- Willing and able to lift 70 pounds and work with a Moffett forklift truck
- Forklift experience a plus, but not a requirement
- Experience in handling building materials is a plus
- Must be able to pass drug screening (including marijuana) and background check
