What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Staff position at J.H. Adams Inn and Cristina Gray's Restaurant?
Job Summary: Make a lasting impression on all guests by providing elevated service during all Events and Banquets. Learn all aspects of Events and Banquets from set up to breakdown.
Job Duties:
- Maintain the sanitation and safety standards of Cristina Gray's on a daily basis.
- Set up and break down all event areas in the appropriate timely manner. All set up done 1 hour before opening time.
- All Silverware, glasses and plates are to be clean, chip free, maintained and free of spots.
- Always be in uniform during your shift. Must be in uniform before clocking in.
- Be a presence at all time of an event. Always stay on the floor or at your station.
- Maintain all buffet stations and bars. Always stay active.
- All items used for an event must be placed back in their storage areas at the end of the event. Silverware must be sorted, glasses put away, plates wrapped and stored, catering equipment clean. Kitchen, Dining Room, Upstairs and any other area must be cleaned and reset for the next day. Each area of storage must remain clean and organized as you found it.
- Adhere to schedule, if changes need to be made inform a manger at least a week in advance.
- Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary work station at all times in BOH.
- Check bathrooms on a regular basis and clean as necessary.
- Scrape all plates and place them in an organized fashion in the dish pit.(Correct glasses in glass racks, plates of similar shape stacked together.)
- Wash Dishes for event and place back in storage
- Properly organize and store all rentals at the end of the event. Ask the manager for details.
- Maintain all checklists and standards while on your shift.
- Complete any other tasks assigned to you by your manager.
Qualifications
- Banquet experience and food service skills
- Strong customer service and food handling abilities
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Experience in catering and guest services
- Culinary experience and familiarity with the food industry
- Background in hospitality
- Proficient in food preparation and serving techniques
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
