We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. The Dog Walker will be responsible for managing multiple clients and their pets, ensuring that each dog receives the attention they deserve.
Duties
- Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring they receive adequate exercise.
- Maintain control of dogs at all times, using proper handling techniques.
- Provide basic grooming services as needed, such as brushing and cleaning paws.
- Monitor the behavior of dogs during walks, addressing any issues that arise.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and needs.
- Ensure all dogs are leashed securely and follow safety protocols during walks.
- Assist with pet sitting duties when required, including feeding and administering medications.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary, such as carrying supplies or assisting larger dogs.
- Maintain a clean environment by picking up after pets during walks.
Skills
- Strong animal handling skills with experience in dog walking or pet care.
- Knowledge of pet grooming techniques is a plus.
- Ability to perform animal restraint safely when necessary.
- Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with clients and their pets.
- Experience as a veterinary assistant or in animal care is beneficial.
- Familiarity with equine care can be an asset for candidates with diverse animal experience.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods while walking dogs.
