JH Rhodes Company, a polishing pad manufacturer with over 120 years of polishing expertise. We are committed to supporting the leading-edge capabilities of our customers. We are seeking to fill a Quality Technician position. The successful candidate will ensure the quality of incoming raw materials, internal processes, and outbound products.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this function successfully, an individual must be self-motivated and able to perform each of the following essential duties satisfactorily.
- Effectively use Microsoft Office Suite to develop pivot tables and graph process and product performance
- Inspect incoming raw materials to ensure they meet specifications before being released to production & maintain records of this testing
- Perform supplementary and nonstandard testing as required
- Conduct and lead audits of production processes to ensure products conform to specifications
- Become proficient in the use of the SPC system and understand, keep, and maintain data as required to provide statistical process control of measured processes
- Accurately analyze, interpret, and summarize data to create reports and clearly communicate deviations or trends
- Compile data and insert it into the proper format for customer certificates of compliance and certificates of conformance
- Lead root cause investigations for corrective actions and manage the corrective action system
- Effectively update and maintain controlled documents within the document control system
- Maintain a database for tracking nonconforming materials and processes
- Maintain all calibrated instruments as specified in the instrument calibration system and maintain records for the calibrations
- Provide supplemental inspections of packaged products and secondary operations
- Aid Quality Manager to drive Quality culture throughout the organization
- Maintain an orderly work area
- Other tasks as assigned by management
- Interface and schedule with the manufacturing group daily to aid in the successful creation of products
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the essential duties of this position.
- Minimum of high school level of knowledge of several subjects in order to express complex thoughts clearly in writing, perform algebraic and geometric calculations, and keep complex records
- Between two and three years of work experience in a related field
- Some analytical ability is required in order to gather and interpret data in situations where the problems are somewhat complex
- Ability to deal effectively with other people
- Basic computer knowledge
- Attendance and Punctuality a must
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
