What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Direct Hire 2nd position at J H Routh Packing Company?
SANITATION: Employee may perform any of the following cleaning and sanitation operations, using such equipment as water hose/soap hose, scrub brush, scrub pad, squeegee, shovel. Remove edible product from production floor. Pick up all gloves, coats, aprons or any equipment left from production personnel. Remove pallets or other production materials from area. Use squeegee and shovel to pick up all meat scrapes from floor. Use high pressure water hose for initial spraying of all equipment. Soap all equipment using central foam stations located throughout each department. Use scrub brush to clean all large flat surfaces. Use scrub pad to clean hard to reach areas. Disassemble equipment as required and hand scrub all surfaces. Rinse and sanitize all areas. As a last step, each sanitor reinspects his/her area to insure all areas are cleaned and sanitized prior to inspection by U.S.D.A. personnel. All areas must meet U.S.D.A. requirements concerning pre-operational sanitation.
Physical Requirements: Lifting and carrying weights of 30-90 lbs. a distance of 3-50 feet, 5-25 times per hour; the job requires 8 hours of standing, bending, and kneeling, excluding breaks.
Work Environment: Temperature varies with the seasons, wet and noisy. Work on raised platforms (2'-6').
