At J.I. Landis Welding & Mechanical, Inc. we specialize in providing high quality welding and fabrication services for a variety of clients. Our team is dedicated to maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive environment. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Faciliites Technician/Material Handler to join our team to help ensure the maintenance of our facilities and our equipment. The individual for this job should be highly motivated and a self starter. This is a key position that has room for advancement if desired.
Key Responsiblities:
- Putting material and parts away or tagging them for a future job
- Organizing material racks
- Loading and Unloading trucks
- Handing tools out and manage tool sign out
- Inventory of tools and consumables
- Inventory of material
- Sweeping and cleaning certain areas and keeping them clean & Trash Clean up of Shop And common areas
- Ensure materials are put away properly by working with the crews that performed the work
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of welding shop equipment including welding machines, ventilation systems, and safety systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair tools/equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist with facility repairs and upgrades
- Monitor inventory of facility maintenance materials and supplies and reorder as necessary
- Work with shop foreman to address any issues impacting production
- Perform Preventative maintenance on facility equipment
- Keep consumables and necessary items in stock
- Assist with repairing tools and send out as needed
Applicants Must:
- Be able to lift 50 lbs
- Have the ability to Multi-task
- Excellent Organizational Skills
- Be a self starter
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Have forklift experience
- Work well with others
- Have a valid drivers license
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Welding shop or Manufacturing shop experience a Huge plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
