Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while providing exceptional customer service to patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent administrative skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Tebra is a bonus.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing them with necessary information about services and procedures.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
- Handle incoming calls, addressing inquiries and directing them to appropriate staff members.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to patient visits.
- Utilize Eaglesoft software for patient management and record keeping.
- Process patient information, including insurance verification and billing inquiries.
- Assist in coding procedures for billing purposes as needed.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, dental terminology, and hospital operations is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Proficient typing skills and experience with electronic health record systems (EHR).
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review.
