Field Supervisor

Looking for a leadership role in janitorial services? J&J Janitorial and Maintenance is looking for a Janitorial Supervisor to lead and oversee our dedicated team of cleaners.
The Head Custodian plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all building occupants. This position is responsible for overseeing custodial staff and ensuring that all cleaning and maintenance tasks are executed efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial and industrial cleaning, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of custodial staff to ensure effective cleaning and maintenance of facilities.
• Perform commercial cleaning tasks including but not limited to dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper storage.
• Train new custodial staff on best practices for cleaning techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience in custodial services, particularly in commercial or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and safety practices.
• Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all areas of responsibility.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff and building occupants.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail in all aspects of work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
