What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator position at J&J Snack Foods Corp?
This position reports to the Materials Manager and is responsible for ensuring proper loading and unloading processes for raw and other materials. Position is also a key member for inventory.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)
Receiving
- Verify trailer with loaded goods is in food quality condition with visual and black light inspection (pest evidence, no holes, etc)
- Verify seals and truck/trailer numbers
- Compare quantity received with quantity on paperwork
- Verify COA (for each lot) if needed
- Verify lot codes per quantities
- Place items in designated receiving warehouse location, including allergen verification
- Proper FIFO rotation of raw materials needed for production
Shipping/Transfers
- Verify trailer with loaded goods is in food quality condition (pest evidence, no holes, etc)
- Verify Bill of Lading and loading product are the same
- Verify lot codes are correctly documented on Bills of Lading
- Verify raw materials are properly rotated by FIFO
Inventory
- Move items as needed for inventory counter to ensure accurate count is obtained
- Follow all OSHA safety rules, GMPs, and all food safety laws and regulations, FIFO
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor
