What are the responsibilities and job description for the Classified Helper position at J&J Snack Foods?
Job Objective: Assist in various aspects of production.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Function (List in order of importance the critical responsibilities of the position not including responsibilities comprising less than 5% of the position):
1. Inspect all phases of production to ensure that all current approved processes are being followed.
2. Check production schedules and verify adequate staff is available to run product.
3. Maintain production schedule.
4. Notify supervision or management immediately if any changes in the production schedule, process or staff should change. Also notifies supervision of any process violations that they become aware of and keep all other team members informed with any issues or changes as well.
5. Perform all required tasks in a safe manner utilizing the safety procedures established and the lockout tag-out safety policy when cleaning this piece of equipment.
6. Make changeover in allocated time on production schedule.
7. Perform hourly checks of all production lines and processes.
8. Employee is responsible for all other duties as assigned by management.
Non-Essential Functions (minor less than 5% of the position): Sweep, clean and general housekeeping.

Working Conditions (Temperature, Environment, etc): Freezer temperature is normally below freezing. Other temperatures within the facility may be hot in summer months and cold in winter months. Environment is damp and becomes very slippery. Dust from product (flour, sugar, yeast, salt, and other baking products). The plant is filled with moving equipment and is very loud most of the time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
